Knowledge Leaders Meet at Coalition office to Develop Concept Note for NITI Aayog

On the proposal of the NITI Aayog, to develop a concept note for 2- 3 Million Women CHANGE LEADERs (One in each Hamlet) in 6 lac villages to accelerate progress for a MISSION MALNUTRITON FREE INDIA-2022, the Coalition organised a half day meeting with the knowledge leaders on February 6, 2018 at Coalition office, New Delhi The idea was to collect evidences on the success rate of voluntarism models in this country and in South Asia context to build on the concept note on ‘Scaling up Hamlet Level Women Change Leaders for a Mission Malnutrition Free India’. This concept itself generated a lot of interest and many institutions and individuals started sharing their evidences with great enthusiasm even before joining the meeting. Among others, the meeting was attended by veteran development profession Mr Venkatesh Mannar, National Nutrition Mission Executive Committee member and Coalition board member Dr R C Panda, UNICEF Chief, Child Development and Nutrition, Mr Arjan de Waqt, BMGF, ACF, Mamta Health Institute of Mother and Child, Welthungerhilfe, Freedom from Hunger, CRS, Nutrition International, GIZ and Intrahealth International. Participants attended the meeting assured full support to the Coalition in developing the concept note for NITI Aayog.
