Dr. Sujeet Ranjan, Executive Director
Dr Sujeet Ranjan is the Executive Director of The Coalition for Food and Nutrition Security (CFNS). He has been associated with Public Health Nutrition sector for more than two decades. His experience includes leading and managing large scale programs, policy advocacy and partnership management.
Prior to Coalition, he has worked as Director – CARE International in India and Chief Operating Officer – Swasthya Management and Research Institute, Hyderabad.
He holds a Doctorate degree in Public Health and an MBA in Rural Management and Human Resource Management . He is also a Visionary Leadership (VLP) fellow in Population & Development by International Council on Management of Population Programmes (ICOM), Malaysia.
C S N Murthy, Manager – Finance, Administration and Resource Mobilisation
C S N Murthy joined as Manager – Finance, Administration and Resource Mobilisation. Murthy did his M.A in Economics with Specialisation in International Trade besides LL.B (specialisation in Labour Laws) and M.B.A in Finance. To his credit, Murthy had thirty years of experience out of which eighteen years are with the development sector.
Ms. Meeta Mathur, Senior Technical Advisor
Ms. Meeta Mathur has joined The Coalition for Food and Nutrition (Coalition) as Senior Technical Advisor. She is a public health nutritionist and holds a master’s degree in foods and nutrition.
She has more than 15 years of working experience in cross functional environment and across Urban, rural, tribal and emergency contexts in partnership with stakeholders like communities, INGOs, Government, research bodies and academia.
In past she has been associated with Action Against Hunger, Save the Children, National Institute of Health & Family Welfare and Voluntary Health Association of India as Technical Lead and other capacities
She has been rendering technical Assistance to state Health departments, especially working with State Ministries of Health & Family Welfare & Ministry of Women & Child Development. Her specialization is in the area of SAM Management, Community Nutrition, Maternal and child health & nutrition, with focus on SOPs, capacity building, technical protocols, BCC materials etc.
Ms. Anchal Purbey, Strategic Engagement and Communication Manager
Ms Anchal Purbey is the Strategic Engagement and Communication Manager in CFNS and engages with multi-stakeholders to expand outreach, overseeing knowledge management and communication as well as handling programmatic aspects in the organisation. She has a postgraduate degree in “Technology and Development” from CTARA, IIT Bombay under the DAAD scholarship and Engineering degree from Kathmandu Engineering College. She is also the recipient of UNICEF fellowship and was based at UNICEF, Delhi office.
She has grassroot experiences/learnings in the area of malnutrition through field visits in Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, UP and Odisha. Her previous projects have also included alternatives in food supplements for malnourished children, supply chain and value addition of Non forest tribal produce. She has also been associated with Food Fortification Resource Centre, FSSAI during her internship. She has represented her papers/posters at International Health Congress Oxford, UK, Heidelberg Institute of Public Health, Germany and 2nd International NIN Centenary Conference, Hyderabad. She is sound in data analytics and visualisation.
Ms. Manali Jain Khurana, Assistant Manager (Finance, Administration, & Resource Mobilisation)
Ms. Manali Jain Khurana is Assistant Manager (Finance, Administration, & Resource Mobilisation) in The Coalition for Food and Nutrition Security (CFNS). She has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance).
She is a programme support management professional with over 14 years of hallmark career manifested by illustrious experience with Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) and Intra-Health International organisation in the career ladder in Finance and Administration & Grant Management.
Mr. Subir Kumar Das, State Programme Head- Jharkhand
Mr. Subir Kumar Das is State Programme Head, Jharkhand. He has been working in the development sector for 26 years, primarily on maternal and child health and nutrition.
He has worked with CARE-India as Programme Officer in INHP, and with UNICEF in the states of Jharkhand and Assam in various capacities under the United Nation Joint Programme on Convergence, and nutrition sector.
Subir did his Post Graduation in Rural Development and holds a diploma in Health and Nutrition Education. He has worked extensively with district and State Govt. Departments.
Ms. Lubna Abdullah, State Program Head- Madhya Pradesh
Ms. Lubna Abdullah is a State Program Head, Madhya Pradesh. Professional with 9 years’ experience in Nutrition especially therapeutic nutrition, public health nutrition, lactation management, (Breastfeeding promotion network of India) BPNI’s certified National Trainer and certified expert in Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) counseling and certified expert in Community
Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) and Nutritional management of children having Sever Acute Malnutrition (SAM), certified expert in Minimum Initial Package Service for sexual and reproductive health, psychosocial impact of disaster and their management.
Experience of working closely with Department of Women and Child Development of MP. Conducted TOTs as Recourse Person across the India in collaboration with BPNI and Government of concern states

Mr. Utpal Chetia, State Program Head- Assam
Mr. Utpal Chetia is a State Program Head, Assam. He is an engineer turned development professional with masters in Technology and Development from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Prior to Coalition, he was with Piramal Foundation and UNICEF as a fellow. Before joining the development sector, he worked at DRDO and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Mr. Deepak Ranjan Mishra, State Program Consultant- Odisha
Mr. Deepak Ranjan Mishra is a State Program Consultant, Odisha. He is associated with the development sector for more than 15 years. He has been working in the field of program operation, research, public health, public-private partnership, integrated community development programme in tribal and rural areas. He has also carried out training program with various stake holders, donor coordination & partnership. He has done his post graduate in history from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Prior to CFNS, he has worked in different capacities with DANIDA Assisted Tuberculosis Control programme (DANTB), Odisha, Population Foundation of India (PFI), Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI), and The Union. Apart from that he has worked as a National Level Monitor (NLM) for Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India for monitoring of different national flagship programmes.
Dr. Tripti Kumar, Asst. Manager- Communication
Dr. Tripti Kumar is working as a consultant for Asst. Manager, Communication in Project: “Drive a child centric and community focused narrative for community-based management and treatment of SAM children in India. She is also a bonafide member of Dental student’s welfare Association of India and Uttar Pradesh Dental Council. During her masters, she has presented a poster on “Technology innovation for control of infection in resource poor settings” in ACIES+ International conference on med-tech innovations for primary health care. She was also Academic Class Representative and student representative of anti-ragging society. She is a responsible, self-motivating, persuasive communicator with strong listening, writing and verbal skills.
Nar Bahadur Thapa, Support Staff
Nar Bahadur Thapa is with the Coalition team since a very long time. He helps in managing the day-to-day activities within the organisation. He ensures the comfort of all members so that everyone can work up to their maximum potential. He is one of the most valuable employees of the Coalition.
