It has always been suggested that it is not due to dearth of policies and programmes that we are not getting the desired results but instead it is because of the lack of accountability and governance in the system. Social accountability is very important to make these initiatives work and make people empowered. We must work towards improving the governance in all sectors working towards food and nutrition and make them more and more accountable.
