India has seen tremendous growth in the last few decades. However, despite the economic growth and high public investment in food and nutrition, India’s 15% of the population (194.6 million) remain hungry and undernourished (Hunger Report-2015). The country is home to over one-third of the world’s stunted (chronically malnourished) children and around 38.4 percent of India’s children under 5 years, are stunted.
