In pursuance of our goal to support the states to meet the WHA/SDG targets, CFNS conducted Multi-sectoral Result Based District Workshops in two districts of Assam. One of these districts was Karimganj, which is known for being one of the five districts with the worst numbers for stunting. The workshop was conducted by a CFNS consultant. Dr. Basanti Baroova, and was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, representatives from Department of Social Welfare, Health, PHE, Labour, NHM and SSA. Various gaps in implementation of existing schemes were identified, and the urgent need for the development of a district action plan was insisted upon.
