Stakeholder Consultation Meeting in Alwar, Rajasthan

The Coalition and The India Nutrition Initiative (TINI) of Tata Trust are jointly working on a project named “Strengthening System for demand generation and service delivery for improved nutrition outcomes in five districts of Rajasthan”. On August 13, 2018, a district consultation cum convergence meeting was held at the Collectorate, Alwar. The main objective of the consultation was to share the findings of the secondary data analysis through district radar diagram done by The Coalition along with IIT Bombay (IIT-B) and to sensitize the district leaders regarding key gaps which need to be addressed. Strategies on convergence in the district were also brainstormed during the meeting. Dr. C.S Pandav, member of the National Council on Nutrition (MoWCD) and the Vice-Chair of The Coalition’s board, led the discussion at the convergence meeting. Dr. Sujeet Ranjan, ED, The Coalition stressed the importance of the survey and growth monitoring of all children in the Anganwadi centre catchment area. The necessity for improved antenatal care during pregnancy was emphasized. An action plan was discussed and finalized for generating demand by the community through quality service delivery by the service providers.
